The 87th Academy Awards presented by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) for outstanding film achievements of 2014, hosted by Neil Patrick Harris was held at Hollywood's Dolby Theatre & Highland Center and televised live on ABC Network and in over 220 countries worldwide on Sunday, February 22, 2015. Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance) was top winner with four Oscars including Best Picture and Best Director ALEJANDRO G. IÑÁRRITU.

The 24th New York Jewish Film Festival (NYJFF 2015) commence January 14-29, 2015 at the Walter Reade Theater and Elinor Bunin Munroe Film Center in Lincoln Center, New York. Presented by the Jewish Museum and the Film Society of Lincoln Center, the festival showcased 47 films from eleven countries.  NYJFF 2015 Opening and Closing Night Premieres were The Muses of Isaac Bashevis Singer, directed by Asaf Galay and Shaul Betser; and Felix and Meira, directed by Maxime Giroux.

The 57th Annual GRAMMY Awards with four-time host entertainment icon LL COOL J commenced Sunday, February 8, 2015, 8:00pm ET at STAPLES Center, Los Angeles, California. Presented by The Recording Academy, produced by AEG Ehrlich Ventures, GRAMMY Awards honor musical excellence in the recording arts and sciences to artists and technical professionals of 2014. Four GRAMMYs went to Sam Smith including Best Record of the Year. Three GRAMMYs went to Beck including Best Album of the Year, Pharrell Williams including Best Urban Contemporary Album and Beyoncé including Best R&B Song. The late iconic comedian Joan Rivers was honored with the Best Spoken Word Album award. Melissa Rivers and her son Cooper Endicott accepted the award on behalf of her mother.
